It’s a Fight Gone, Whatt?

Good… I hope!

Wod tips: Choosing a different starting position can affect your score! We’ve found that starting on the row, or starting on box jumps can help people get more reps. Plan on getting lots of reps on the movements that you are good at or that are ‘fast’ (push presses and box jumps). Do work, but don’t push yourself too hard on the slower movements (rowing and wall ball).

The jerk store called!

Great opportunity today to focus on that vertical drive in the jerk. If the weight is comfortable, try adding in a pause at the bottom and do a quick self check in for your body position.  We also want to make sure we aren’t shortening that front step, if needed, put a chalk mark when you are doing it with an empty bar and check that you are hitting the same place as the weight goes up

Shoulder mania!

Yes this is a long one and the volume is high but movement integrity is key here. Don’t let those shoulder presses become push press, core locked and ribs down, don’t find the movement in the back. If shoulder mobility is lacking, consider using dumbbells for this movement.  Try to shake out the shoulders on the run so you can get right into things without having to rest. Enjoy!
