Baseline results

The Helen Challenge baseline workout was completed this weekend. It was a great success. We had 14 athletes compete. There was so much energy in the gym and everyone was cheering their fellow athletes on! Everyone worked very hard, but no one pushed themselves over the edge (AKA – saying hi to Uncle Pukie), that will probably happen in the finals on May 23rd.

Thanks to everyone who competed. Now we have 8 weeks to work hard training and dialing in our nutrition.

If you have not done your prelim time, you can come in and do it anytime over the next week.

Today’s Workout:

Upright Bear (from CrossFit Vancouver)

  • 5 Deadlift
  • 5 Hang Power Clean
  • 5 Push Jerk/Split Jerk

Every minute on the minute for 20 minutes. Use dumbbells!  If you can’t complete on the minute….Take a minute break and continue the next minute

Score it as the first round completed before failure and total rounds completed. For example if you failed at round 12, then rest for round 13, get back in on round 14.  Score would be 11- 18.
