Don’t carb load for this partner workout!

Your partner will thank you 😉

Today’s workout is a barbell partner workout.  It is comprised of deadlifts, hang power cleans, shoulder to overhead, stretcher carry and some partner carries.  On the team, each partner will have their own barbell because while one partner is doing repetitions, the other partner is doing various static barbell holds:

  • On the deadlifts, the resting partner is holding the bar at the top of the deadlift
  • On the hang power clean, the resting partner is holding the bar at the top of the clean/rack position
  • On the shoulder to overhead, the resting partner is holding the bar at the top of the overhead position, elbows locked out
  • On the partner carry, carry your partner 100M and then jog back. First carry is P1, second carry is P2.

Notice, that the barbell weights change through the exercises… you are only allowed one barbell each, so you are required to change your own weights. The weights are very heavy, so please scale appropriately so that you and your partner can keep moving through the whole workout.
