few weeks to find some inspiration, and it was right under my nose. So
who brings the noise?!?! Who’s the public enemy #1?! No I’m not talking
about shimmy shaking Diddy! I’m talking about Public Enemy kids, so dust
off those over sized clock necklaces and get ready to fight the power.
Public Enemy is one of the most influential hip-hop groups in history,
coming from an angle that had never been done prior to. Hailing from
Long Island, New York, the group consists of member’s Chuck D, Flavor
Flav, Professor Griff, The S1W, guitarist Khari Wynn, Terminator X (the
group’s orginal DJ) and DJ Lord (the group’s current DJ). PE changed the
hip-hop landscape by being the first group to have their whole image be
politically charged. Various artists had politically motivated rhymes,
but no one had made it their image or taken it to the level PE has. PE
were also the pioneers of the rap metal scene, collaborating with metal
acts such as Anthrax and Living Color.
We could go on and on about the legacy of these guys, true legends of
