And we back AGAIN! This week we got the Memphis legend Project Pat on deck, so po’ up some purple pre-workout and turn up on this jam.

Patrick Houston aka Project Pat hails from Memphis, Tennessee, and is the older brother of fellow rapper Juicy J. Pat is also another one of the founding members of Three 6 Mafia and Hypnotize Minds Records. Although Pat hasn’t had the same amount of commercial success as his younger brother or Three 6 Mafia he has a large underground following, as well as being a legend in his home town of Memphis. Pat has followed his younger brother on his departure from Hypnotize Minds and signed with Wiz Khalifa’s record label Taylor Gang.

When I was a young lad, pre-internet, my only way of staying up on current music was Source and Vibe magazines. These magazines were always riddled with ads for album releases. In my opinion, the best album cover art of this period was coming out of the south. The cover art was corny as hell, and the labels that were doing it the best were No-Limit Records, Cash Money, and Hypnotize Minds. One of my all time favorites has to be the cover art for Pat’s first album “Ghetty Green.” In my opinion the cover art is a perfect compliment to name of the album, which today isn’t always the case with album cover art. 90’s southern rap had the art form nailed. So with all that being said, lets get to the damn music!
