Hand Care – Part 2

CrossFit Victoria BC - a foot after Marathon Des Sables

Your hands are not the only thing that need “TLC”

You may take really good care of your hands, but that’s no guarantee that you won’t end up with ripped calluses.  Rips on your hands can make a WOD quite a miserable experience, especially if it calls for pull-ups or a decent grip on your barbell.  Torn up hands can be painful and annoying, and may even affect your WOD finish times:  just ask “Spidey”! (a.k.a. Sean F)  Here is a video from CrossFit LA that will teach you how to tape your hands in order to effectively cover up your wounds.

  1. The foot pic is a shot from the ‘Marathon des Sable’ that Rob ran in 2005, it’s not his foot but another competitor. I believe it was taken on day 2 or 3 (7 day, 250km race) and the guy pushed through to the finish.

We’ll have to to a slide show at the gym, we’ve got a ton of beat up feet shots ; )
