Ready to taste some scotch?

May and Billie Jane have put together a Scotch Tasting event on Friday, January 25th.  The event will be held at the Armoury downtown starting from 8:30pm and is expected to go on until about 11pm or so.  Several people have expressed interests in continuing to  party after that time. The Armoury maybe stay available for us after that time but that is entirely depends on our key holder, Mike Soley.  There will be a connoisseur educating in the art of Scotch. The dress code is cocktail attire.

Here’s some inspiration:

The budget I gave the connoisseur is $20 so here is the drink list we will be trying:

Glengarioch

Glenmorangie Nectar D’or

highland Park 15yr

Oban 14 yr

Together, they should come to $20 or so plus or minus a few bucks. If you have experienced with any of the drinks in the list before, you are welcome to skip out on the drink and save your cash for something else. Of course you are welcome to buy more drinks from the bar as well; however, it is cash only. I believe there is a debit machine outside but it’s a 3rd party one so there is some fees in taking your cash out.  This is not a dinner party. Though we are taking $5 contribution for the food, it will only be small meat platter to share to go with your drinks.  Please eat dinner before you arrive!I do not need the $20 since those will be paid to the bar at the event, I do however would like the $5 contribution for the food if possible.  I will be picking up and paying for the food in advance so we would like to know how much to get. Please RSVP with the name of your guests ASAP. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thank you and hope to see you there!
