Question: What’s the first thing you want to do with your day each morning?
If the answer isn’t to come to an early CrossFit WOD, it certainly should be! Especially when we’ve got so many new early morning classes to choose from.
Please don’t forget that we now have four 7:00 a.m. class options for you, from Monday through Thursday. And the best part is our new 8:00 a.m. class option, which is currently offered five days a week, from Monday through Friday. The 8:00 a.m. time slot is perfect for those of you who feel that 7:00 a.m. is just too early for your sleepy brain, yet you still want to squeeze a WOD in before your other daily commitments.
The most important detail to remember is that this new class schedule is being offered on a trial basis. Unfortunately, if we don’t see a steady attendance in the new classes, we will look at dropping them from our schedule. So wake up, get into the gym, and give our morning classes a try!
QOD: Have you found that you have a time or times where your athletic performance is optimal? Do you adjust your workout time for more adaptability? has it affected your athletic performance?
Today’s Workout
Buy-in: 3 rounds – 8 jumping ring dips, 8 dowel dislocates, 8 walking lunges, 8 double crunch
WOD: Chopt
We’ve done this wod once before – in March of this year. It consists of 3 mini-wods. Combine your time for all 3 to get your score.
Ideally, there will be about a 5 minute break between WODs. Distribute athletes in different WODs as needed.
WOD 1. 3 rds: 20 squats, 15 ring dips
Zone 2 – scale ring dips as needed (or sub for pushups)
WOD 2. 3 rds: 10 burpees, 15 box jumps (20/24)
Zone 2 – scale box height as needed
WOD 3. 3 rds: 10 wallballs, 15 kbs (35/55)
Zone 2 – scale wallball and kbs as needed
Cash-Out: Easy stretch and roll

I thought that today was going to be the final base WOD? I came back from Paris early to do that one!! ;^)
Im such a morning person, I wish I could make the early classes but I work! Any chance of anything being added in the 1030/11/1130 range?
At this point not quite yet. We need more coaches available to add more morning classes. Sorry Erin, but that will be looked at in the future when the other classes fill up 😉
I hate mornings with a passion. I don't hate working out in the morning, though. I just hate waking up early to get to a workout . I love mid-afternoon! Mid-afternoon is awesome.
I love to workout at all different times of the day, so that my body can adapt to it. I know when I was training in the past at 6am, I was not as strong as training in the afternoon/evening. But, once I did it regularly, the strength went up. I like to either workout at the 9:30am or the 5:30pm. My body responds differently, depending on what I have done prior to the 5:30pm or how much sleep I got before the 9:30am.
I think that changing the times of training is a variable that gets overlooked. It will help you get stronger 😉
IMPORTANT:
Only 10 hrs left to purchase the Groupon for 1school1Day. It looks like there is not a limit to the number that you are purchasing. If you are attending more than one class, you can pay the $20 dontaion ($10 per class) and have Chip Wilson (Owner/Founder of Lululemon) match the other $20. Sounds like a great idea to me! I am purchasing mine now 🙂

Bought our Groupon's too!
I'm doing the baseline (haven't done it since the first time – two years ago!), but I was thinking of doing Helen and Mary too – I'll definitely make it out if you're going to be there!
I am definitely going to try Mary and possibly the last one too! Can't remember the name of that one. Would love to have you there too!
