2010 CrossFit Games Team

As most of you know, this past weekend was the 2009 CrossFit Games! CrossFit is really turning into the Sport of Fitness! Check out the videos from CrossFit.com to see hundreds of amazing athletes struggling and fighting for the title of the “Fittest Man/Woman.”  I don’t know about you, but this drives me to step up my game in the gym 🙂

Who is interested in competing in the 2010 CrossFit Games either in the Team Affiliate Challenge or as an individual?  We are getting a team together to meet monthly to keep each other motivated, help each other with goal setting and striving to get STRONGER!

Today’s Workout:

Buy In – Hang Squat Clean and Jerk Technique

WOD – “Power and Pace”

Elite: 4 rounds of:
· 6 Hang Squat Clean and Jerk 95/135
· 500m (round the block) run
· Each round is separated by a 3 minute rest interval

Zone 4: Scale to 80/115

Zone 3: Scale to 65/95

Zone 2: Scale to 45/65

Zone 1: 3 rounds, Scale to skill level (med ball clean etc)

Cash Out – 3 sets of max repetition pull-ups, separated by rest as needed

    i was actually in the process of training to qualify for this year’s games but packed it in when did my back in december…

    back in the swing of things now though and am looking towards 2010 for sure! let’s combine our powers and get cracking!!

  3. I am intrigued….I’m a “go hard or go home” kinda girl, so if I commit to this, then I’ve got some serious work ahead of me!! Exciting!

  4. Yes it is very exciting. Come join the team and train hard! We will have to do a few WOD’s a month before the Games to see who is going to represent our affiliate.
