  1. Someone told me tonight that Thrifty’s sells grass fed Bison…haven’t checked it out yet though, so I can’t confirm….

  2. I think bison are awesome!.. look at the power of those things! They are pure raw animals 🙂 Cows have nothing on bison!!!!! It would be sweet to go back in time and try and take one of those suckers down with a bow and arrow or spears… yeah budday!

Re: the workout, you guys are right, I think I have a solution that will be suitable, will update asap

  3. There’s bison at the Red Barn Market on West Saanich Rd. I have a great recipe for Bison Lentil chili. How come lentils aren’t Paleo anyway? I don’t understand the scoring for tomorrow’s WOD either.

  4. Cam, we don’t need to go back in time to hunt them with a bow and arrow!

I love bison…I eat it just about every day.

  5. I’ve only ever tried bison burgers and bison steak and I got it from Thriftys however I don’t know if it was grass fed.
Yeah Cam, I don’t think you need to go back in time to bow or spear a bison, lol.

  6. I’m with Cam, talk about a well-earned meal! Taking one of those beasts down with a spear or arrow? That’s totally CrossFit.

  7. I had some bison from Thriftys last night, but I can’t recall if it said it was grass fed or not…

Kathleen, from what I understand the problem with lentils is that like other legumes (and grains) they contain various anti-nutrients (lectins, phytates) that irritate the gut, could cause an auto-immune response and also interfere with the absorption of nutrients. Generally bad overall.

See Eric?! We were right! Whenever you do ave something to say, it’s always AWESOME and very informative. 😉

  9. Sumas Mountain Farms is the only producer of 100% certified-organic, lifetime grass-fed & finished beef in the Lower Mainland of BC. We also offer chicken and eggs.

Our animals are raised on 100% certified-organic pastures in the heart of the Central Fraser Valley, Abbotsford.

We also offer specialty products such as pepperoni, jerky, salami, sausage, farmer sausage, and more.

Because our beef is 100% grass-fed & finished, the quality of the meat is exceptional, and the flavor is unsurpassed. Plus, it is more nutrient-dense and packed with healthful Omega-3’s than conventional beef, which is healthier for you, your family, and the planet.
