Hey Zoners,

The 2011 CrossFit Games are upon us and our boy Scoots (AKA – “Teen Wolf”) is counting down the hours, minutes and seconds before he competes as Canada West’s Top Male Athlete.  We have a crew of Zoners heading down to cheer him on this weekend: Lindsay, Brigit, Wendy, Tara, Jeremy, Michelle, Cam, Allan and myself (as well as our exiled Zoner friends Sean and Theresa!).  We will do our best to keep you updated on the goings on via the website, Twitter and Facebook.

Our lovely Coaches, Bones, KDF and Pants, have worked very hard to come up with a viewing schedule for the weekend to cheer on Lucas as a group at the Zone.  We will have a projector screen set up at the gym for some of the events.

There will be Coaches present for a Saturday Games viewing, which will take place after the Saturday 10:00 a.m. class, and wrap up at 4:00 p.m. so the Coaches can get back to their weekend plans. Please understand that this will NOT be an Open Gym time, in terms of an opportunity for you to WOD.  This is strictly a casual viewing party, where we can all kick back and focus our energy on cheering loudly at the projector screen!  Also, bring a chair or something to sit on, as seating is pretty much non-existent in the gym.  🙂  RSVP to the comments section if you plan on being there.

Buy-in:  3 quick rounds of the CrossFit Warmup prior to class – get there early and get it done!

WOD:  Pantaloons

Another Francey special long WOD for your exercising pleasure…

30 min amrap of:

  • 400m run
  • 40 double unders
  • 30 walking lunges
  • 20 pushups
  • 10 knees to elbows

Zone 3 – scale to 120 single unders

Zone 2 – scale to modified pushups and double crunch instead of kte.  Consider 20min amrap

Zone 1 – scale as needed

Cash-Out:  Group FTL stretch
