July WOD-Killah!

Introducing our July WOD-Killah: Mr. Adam “Clark Kent” Giles!

For those of you who have had the privilege of WOD’ing with Adam before, you already know what a dedicated and superb athlete he is.  Adam is the first one to check his ego at the door, and he never hesitates to leave his best effort in a sweaty pile on the floor during his workouts.

Not only is Adam an inspiration to train with, he’s also a pretty swell guy.  His genuine friendly spirit and smile are always a pleasure to see in the box!

Thanks for being such an asset to the Zone team, Adam.  We look forward to seeing what else you can do as you continue to embrace the Sport of CrossFit!

Today’s Workout

Buy-in:  Clean tech: Hang Squat Clean

  • 7 sets of 3, working up in weight quickly
  • 14 min time cap – work on 1 set every 2 minutes

WOD:  “Adam’s Amazing Abs”

This wod has only popped up once before but I figure it’s fitting to do it on the day we post about Adam being our WODkilla! 

For time:

  • 1000m row, then:
  • 3 rounds of:  10 burpees, 20 knees to elbows, then:
  • 1000m row

Zone 3 – scale to 10 knees to elbows each round

Zone 2 – scale row to 800m and sub in double crunch for the kte

Zone 1 – scale as needed

Team option:  partners – each person rows 500 twice then they break up 60 burpees and 60kte as needed (one person at a time), finish with another 500m row twice for each person.

Cash-Out:  20 turkish get-ups
