CrossFit Victoria BC - Kelly Challenge

Great job to all the Zoner’s that came out on Saturday for the Kelly Challenge Finals!  If was a rough go with this challenge, lots of people had been sick over the last 2 months or away and not able to train.  Way to push through it!  I wanted to send out a special thanks to Brigit for helping me organize the groups 🙂

Today’s Workout:

Buy In – 800m jog, 3 sets of 6-10 ring dips

WOD – “Helenator”

If your hands tear from pullups, tape them up before you begin and consider doing every second set of pullups as ring dips instead.  Games preppers – feel free to scale up to 1.5/2pd for the swings.

Elite: 5 rounds for time –

  • 15 kettlebell swings (1/1.5pd)
  • 200m run
  • 15 pullups
  • 200m run

Zone 3:  Scale kbs

Zone 2:  3-5 rounds, Assisted pullups, scale kbs

Zone 1:  Scale as needed

Cash Out – 4 x 2/side Turkish get-ups, increase weight each time

  1. There was a mistake on the results, apparently b’s math isn’t perfect 😉 So Sean B’s improvement time was 2:25, not 2:35. So that means that Conrad had the most improvement (2:34). But he did not enter the challenge for the prize, so Sean B takes the prize for most improvement.

  2. wow…tough one today!! haha beware of that 3rd round mark…def one of those “mental” wods, just remember “its all in your head” and you should be fine!!
