Special Event Reminder!

Hey Gang,

Just a friendly reminder about our fantastic Skins™ event taking place this Monday, April 11th!

From 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. that evening, we will be welcoming a Skins™ rep into our box.  Chris will be putting on a one night only, 50% off retail price event for The Zone!   At this time, he will be setting up a table in the gym with Skins™ gear that you can try on, as well as giving us the skinny on some information about the products.

Not only will we be having this amazing opportunity to purchase Skins™ at a discounted price, but we are also going to turn this into an evening of fun and community!  We will be doing a special Team WOD event at 5:30pm, which will be followed up with a community potluck afterward. So, plan to come out, have fun with the gang, and bring a dish to share with everyone!

As for the Skins™ portion of the evening, those attending will receive the product at 50% off the suggested retail price at this time. (*shoppers will be responsible for 10% shipping and handling and the usual HST taxes, as well.*)

This is a wonderful opportunity, and we’re looking forward to hosting it.  See you there!

Buy-in: Snatch Tech – 5 x 3 – hang power snatch + overhead squat

  • Perform one hang power snatch and one overhead squat and repeat 2 more times for 3 “reps”
  • That is one set – perform 4 more sets of 3

WOD: Hang On

2 rounds for time of:

  • 50 box jumps
  • 40 kettlebell swings (35/55)
  • 30 pullups

Zone 3 – scale kb weight

Zone 2 – scale box jump height and use assisted pull-ups. Consider 2 rounds of 30-20-10

Zone 1 – scale as needed

Games Prep – 10 chest to bar pull-ups to start each 30 (continue right through if possible). Goal is to go as unbroken as possible but maintain 85-90% effort throughout (i.e. don’t slay yourself!).

Cash-Out: 50, 100, or 150 situps

    I will be staying late after the 530 class to train. If you want to have a first/second crack at the 3rd open WOD, now is your chance.
    I’m not going to be able to judge everyone, so please give your fellow competitors 5 minutes of your time and I’m sure they will return the favour.
    I’ll call this “open gym,” but priority will be given to those NEEDING to complete the WOD – if you’re coming for round 2, then you are next in line 🙂
    And if you’re coming to do your own thing, then we will have to fit in when/where space is available.
