How the Challenge Works
- GET REGISTERED – get your name on the list and pay the $30 entry (remember, $20 goes back in the “kitty” for prize money).
- SET YOUR BASELINE – Sat. July 7th is the prelims. Set your baseline “Cindy” time. This will be the time off of which we will calculate your improvement.
- TRAIN – CrossFit for 9 weeks with the intention of improving your “Cindy” time.
- SHOW UP for the FINALS – Sat. Sept. 8th. Go for YOUR best “Cindy” time!
** PRIZES will be awarded for:
¨ Most improvement – women’s and men’s divisions.
¨ Fastest times – women’s and men’s advanced divisions.
Rules:
– You must choose the category you are going to compete in and STAY in that category for the finals
– Rankings for TIME:
o There will be one master list ranking participants based on time
o Your TIME rank will be based on your performance within your category.
o Categories will be listed in the order Advanced, Intermediate, Beginner. This means that all Advanced category finishers will be ranked above all the Intermediate category finishers, who will be ranked above all Beginner category finishers.
o For example, if you compete in the intermediate category, the best ranking you can have is one below the lowest in the advanced category. So if there are 6 people in the advanced category, your ranking, if you are the fastest intermediate, is #7.
– Rankings for IMPROVEMENT:
o There will be one master list ranking participants on percentage improvement.
o This list is NOT categorized. Your category has no bearing on where you finish on this list.
o For example, if you compete in the intermediate category, and you have the highest percentage of overall improvement, you would be ranked #1.
Just a reminder that the Advanced Class is cancelled tonight!
Spectator shirts should be at the gym by noon today! Keep checking the website for updates. Remember it is by donation!
Today’s Workout
Buy In – Tabata Row
WOD – “Three-o”
This is fashioned after a workout we did in Sept 2009 called “Five-0″ that was five minute stations. 🙂
In teams of two, each team will have three minutes at each of the following stations to complete as many reps as possible. Only one team member at a time can be working. The stations are as follows:
* Rope Climbs
* Burpees
* Pistol squats
* Situps
* Box jumps (20″/24″)
* Pullups
Workout is scored by total reps
Zone 2 – scale pistols with a band, scale box height to 12″/20”, scale to assisted pullups
Zone 1 – scale rope climbs as needed, scale pistols to regular squats
Cash Out – Roll out the whole body!

time meaning reps/rounds I assume
either that or there'll be a lot of ties!!!
Shirts will be in at 3:30 today!
testing on Sept 7th.. means training over aug.. im out! unless there is a prize for going backwards!
Man up Ned. Just have one less Corona per day at the lake! 🙂
Good luck to all the competitors this weekend! I am very proud to be part of such an outstanding box! Wish I could be there to cheer all on you on.
Howdy! I simply would like to give a huge thumbs up for the great info you have got here on this post. I will be coming again to your blog for more soon.
