Time to run!

We will be running through the streets, but probably not carrying furniture 😉

Update! We have planned out an 8-week 10K plan to get us ready for the TC10K. There will be two group runs each week, Mondays and Thursdays, leaving from Zone at 5:30pm. The first run will be on Monday, March 4.

The weekly run schedule will be posted in the Facebook group each Saturday (The group will be created soon). In addition to the two weekly runs, there will be a suggested third run. You may or may not want to WOD before/after the run. Again, the runs at first will be short and slower paced.

For the first three weeks, we will be easing into the runs, starting at 3km and then working our way up to 5km. We will then ramp up the training with increased distance, tempo and speed drills. A taper week is built into the schedule the week before the race.

Depending on the people in the group, we might want to ramp up (or down) the run for the day.

If you haven’t signed up already, there is a CrossFit Zone Team registered. Simply search for our team under “corporate registration” and follow the instructions. Register at –  http://www.raceonline.ca/events/registration/?id=286

There is no cost to joining the run group and this does not count as one of your CF Zone classes for the week. We want share our passion for running and get you geared up for your (first) 10K run. This group welcomes those new to or getting back into running.

If you have any questions, please contact Billie Jane billiejane@crossfitzone.ca or Lisa Z (CFZ Downtown) or Danielle Mennie (CFZ Westshore). We’ll see you with your running shoes tied on!
