Log your scores on the Leaderboard!
As we all know, one of the most important things in CrossFit is logging your workouts. We record our times, weights, reps and achievements down in our journals, as well as up on our gym leaderboards for all to see. Through recording these times throughout the day, it brings the CrossFit Zone community together on a larger scale, and helps build a sense of friendship between the members as they cheer on each other’s achievements. However, technology has come along and revolutionized this tradition! You may have seen the link on the right hand side of our website for the Crossfit Leaderboard function. This is now where we’re officially keeping track of your workout results. The question is: are you signed up?
In the past, we’ve simply been writing your workout times up on the whiteboard in the gym, and posting a photo of everyone’s scores at the end of each day to our Facebook Leaderboard album. Up until now, this posted picture has been the only way for many of you to see where your times and efforts have fallen on the daily workout scale.
Recently, at the end of each WOD, we’ve been beginning to ask our members to sign in to www.crossfitleaderboard.com to log their daily WOD times. Each day, CrossFit Zone has been posting our daily workouts to this forum, and we’re hoping each of you will diligently log your times online. This will create a permanent record of your workouts and times, as well as helping all the groups from each class to bond. The morning class will be able to communicate with the evening crew, and it will foster a greater sense of camaraderie. As well, this process of self-monitoring in a public forum just might be the push you need to help you adhere more strongly to your private goals, and will help to rev up your workouts.
In addition to being a forum for simply recording WOD achievements, crossfitleaderboard.com is a great way to keep in touch with your peers, view pictures and videos, as well as compare your own results with those of others from gyms across the country and beyond. You can get to know other like-minded Crossfitters and see how they get it done!
Very soon, we’re aiming for all of our members to be recording their times on crossfitleaderboard.com before they leave class each day. You’ll be able to follow the progress of the board through the live feed on our CrossFit Zone website, as well as through your personal profile on crossfitleaderboard.com. If you have not yet created a profile there for yourself, please log on today, find the CrossFit Zone feed, and get cracking!
