Saturday WODness

It’s the calm before the storm – Saturday will be a rocking partner workout and Sunday will host a battle of epic proportions with Zone Games 3.  The competitors are getting amped with predictions flying around about who will take the title in which events and the overall win… Standards have been set and the stage is ready.  Stay tuned for the WOD schedule to be released midday Saturday.

But now to more pressing matters – Saturday fun and the re-emergence of a WOD that reared its head in early December.

Today’s Workout

Buy-in:  Grab a partner (any partner!) and make a team name – theme is “Royalty”

WOD:  Royal Pain

You and your partner will each complete the following for time, in alternating fashion:

  • 800m row (2 x 400m each partner – Partner 1 rows 400, partner 2 rows 400, repeat)
  • 6 rounds of: 12 sumo deadlift high pulls (65/95) and 6 barhop burpees – alternating each round (partner 1 does one round, partner 2 does 1 round, repeat 5 more times)
  • 800m row (2 x 400m each)

Zone 3:  scale sdhp to 55/75

Zone 2:  scale sdhp to 45/65

Zone 1:  scale as needed

Cash-Out:  Clean up the ergs and FTL Stretch!
